Visit of His Majesty The King

Royal Visit 2026

His Excellency Andrew Murdoch CMG, Governor of Bermuda, is delighted to announce the upcoming visit of His Majesty King Charles III to Bermuda. This will be the first Sovereign visit to Bermuda in sixteen years and His Majesty’s first visit to a British Overseas Territory since his Coronation.

The visit is an opportunity to celebrate the many contributions Bermudians make in their communities, the wider British family in Bermuda and around the world. It will also strengthen the UK's modern partnership with Bermuda, deepening the cultural, economic and societal ties between us.

Further details of the visit at the end of April will be announced in due course.

His Majesty’s last official visit to Bermuda was in 1970, to read the Speech from the Throne, officially opening the 350th year of parliamentary government in Bermuda. The last visit by a Sovereign to the island was in 2009, when Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip visited Bermuda to join celebrations of the 400th anniversary of settlement. Bermuda was the final Overseas Territory Her Late Majesty visited during her reign.
