The Hon. Tinèe S. Furbert JP, MP Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors attended the 16^th Special Olympics World Games 2023 in Berlin, Germany.

The Special Olympics is the largest inclusive multi sports event worldwide, and an integral part of a global movement committed to drive equal participation in all parts of life for people with intellectual disabilities through the power of sports. 

The Minister of Social Development and Seniors with responsibility for Gender Affairs attended the United Nations Sixty-Seventh Session of the Commission on the Status of Women.  The theme of the 67^th Session was: “Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.”
