Premier David Burt’s Eid al-Fitr

In recognition of Eid al-Fitr 2025, which was celebrated by Bermuda’s Muslim community earlier today, the Premier, the Hon. David Burt, JP, MP offered the following message.
Premier Burt, who participated in the local observances at the CedarBridge campus said, “The conclusion of Ramadan marks a meaningful time of reflection, gratitude, and renewal. It is also a moment to recognise the values of compassion, discipline, and generosity that guide the month of fasting and prayer.
“As families and communities come together for Eid, we are reminded of the strength found in unity, and the importance of celebrating the many cultures and faiths that shape our island.
“Now, more than ever, embracing diversity and honouring the traditions of all who call Bermuda home is essential to building a more connected and compassionate community.
“Bermuda continues to be enriched by the contributions of our Muslim community, whose dedication to service and family life strengthens our society.
“On behalf of the Government of Bermuda, the people of Bermuda, and my family, I extend heartfelt Eid wishes to all who are celebrating. Eid Mubarak."
